Where to eat:


Just off the Trerulefoot roundabout is Windy Ridge, offers a good Carvery as well as a usual pub style menu.

Tideford village pub the Rod and Line offers a great pub atmosphere and local fresh fish menu.

The local villages of Menheniot or St Germans also have a village pub serving food.

 If you are in Looe The Catch or Kellys are good for Fish and Chips..

In Looe there is also an American Diner, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Italian and the more traditional fishing village pubs offering a good selection of food.

Liskeard has a Wetherspoons, a domino’s and a variety of fast food take away, Indian, Chinese and local pubs.

Opening soon is The Brightside cafe/restaurant offering all day dining just 2 mins up the road from us.


Things to do:

Adrenalin Quarry (2 mins up the road) offers a host of fun and exhilarating activities for all the family.

The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are less than an hour away by car.

Plymouth offers a host of possibilities, from shopping to boat trips, cinema to bowling, Aquarium and museum, and much more it will take about 25- 30 mins to drive there.

A hole host of beaches are easily accessible for either north or south coast whilst if moorland treks and hikes are more your thing Bodmin moor is just a short drive away.

There are local indoor swimming pools at Liskeard and Saltash whilst Plymouth has a Seawater outdoor pool at Tinside.

There are many great National Trust House & Gardens and a variety of Gardens to visit in Cornwall, leaflets available.

If you’re heading down to Penzance or St Michaels Mount it will take about an hour and 20 minutes to get there whilst St Ives is about one hour 40 mins.  All achievable for a great day out from here.

Looe - 15 minutes away by car or park at Liskeard and take the scenic way by train, plenty of boat trips, shops to meander around, sandy beach and an abundance of cafes and restaurants.

Visit Plymouth with its shopping,  theatre,  marine aquarium or the historic naval port, come rain or shine theres something to entertain everyone, easily accessible by road or train. 

   

There are numerous National Trust gardens to wander and enjoy a cream tea.

 

Padstow is only a 45 minute drive and once there you can enjoy the bustling harbour, shops and fish & chips or why not hire a bike and cycle the camel trail, following the scenic estuary to Wadebridge and if you have the energy on to Bodmin.

           

 

Even Dartmoor is easily accessible, pass through the old market town of Tavistock on your way and then enjoy an amble over the moors.

North and South coast beaches, easily accessible whether its sun and surf or sand and sea........


Why not pop in to the caves at Carnglaze Caverns, 15 minutes by car, experience the cool still waters under the ground and read the history of the slate quarry.  They have woodland gardens and picnic areas for you to enjoy and for something different experience a concert in the caves!
